People who have come to life as an incarnation of the flame are called "infernals." The first appearances of these creatures introduced chaos and fear into the life of the city, but as people got used to it a little bit, how the creatures evolved. The next generation of infernals began to possess the ability to control fire, while maintaining a human form. One such person is Shinra Kusakabe. Shinra can voluntarily light his legs, for which he received the nickname "Devil Feet." He enters a special fire company number 8, famous for the fact that it employs people who can also control fire and use their abilities to extinguish the fire of infernals. However, it’s not enough to deal with the consequences and try to save people - Shinre and his team need to reveal the terrible truth that explains the reason for the appearance of infernals. For Shinra this is not just a job, but a private matter, because the secret of the infernals is somehow connected with a mysterious fire in which his family died twelve years ago.
